Beaches still untouched, year-around sunny weather, perfect winds for extreme sports like kite and windsurf, stunning nature, rustic style tourism, hospitality... All this and still have the privilege to discover an unknown piece of Northeast Brazil.

Piauí has been showing that its beaches are worth the visit!

With the smallest coast in Brazil (only 66 km), the state of Piauí is still unknown by many who search tourism in the country. Located between the tourist spots of Ceará and Maranhão states, Piauí was, for a long time, considered only as a passage from Jericoacoara to Lençóis Maranhenses, the famous Rote of Emotions. The stop was usually made only to visit the gorgeous Delta do Parnaíba. Only now that the state’s small coast is being considered as a obligatory stop point in this trip.

The location of the state is another attraction. When staying on the coast of Piauí, tourists have the chance to meet other beach destinations such as Jericoacoara (CE) or Lençóis Maranhenses (MA). For those who prefer more alternative destinations, they can visit the rock formations of the "Seven Cities" National Park, the archaeological site of the National Park of Serra da Capivara, the opal mines in Pedro II or the Poty River canyon and the waterfalls in Castelo on the contry-side of Piaui state.

Surely you did not realize that the Piauí had so many different options for tourism!

With all this potential, the idea of the Praias do Piauí website emerged.

A guide for your trip at the smallest Brazilian coast. Where to stay, where to eat, what to know about. Because, although small, the coast has a lot to offer.
